Aktiv Plus is an association dedicated to the elderly residents of Strassen, Luxembourg, helping them stay active, healthy, and connected to the community around them. Through a rich programme of activities and events, Aktiv Plus ensures that participation in social life remains easy and inviting, regardless of age. Four times a year, the association publishes a magazine that brings this programme to life: listing upcoming activities, explaining how and where to sign up, and additional information that inspires.
Our task was to give this magazine a visual identity that felt both official and warm. We developed a logo and a full editorial design rooted in the corporate identity of the municipality of Strassen, creating an immediate sense of belonging and civic trust.
At the same time, the design needed to feel approachable and lively, fitting for a publication about movement, curiosity, and togetherness. A soft, season-inspired colour palette does exactly that: muted greens and warm pastels shift gently from edition to edition, keeping each issue feeling fresh while maintaining a coherent, recognisable look throughout the year.
Inside, the layout balances structure with ease of reading. Clear typographic hierarchy and intuitive navigation make it simple for readers to find what they are looking for, while generous use of photography and organic shapes gives the pages a friendly, open character. The result is a magazine that feels as welcoming as the activities it promotes; one that residents can pick up, browse with pleasure, and actually use.
We are proud to support a project with such a genuine social purpose, and to help Aktiv Plus reach the people it is there for.
