SNCI, the Société Nationale de Crédit et d'Investissement, is Luxembourg's public development bank. For almost fifty years it has quietly powered the country's economy from behind the scenes, financing the SMEs, start-ups and strategic projects that keep the Grand Duchy resilient and forward-looking. Every year, their work deserves to be reported properly and 101 has had the privilege of helping SNCI achieve this. We've now designed two consecutive annual reports for the SNCI, and each one has been its own project, its own brief, its own visual language.
For the 2024 edition, we built the design around its own brand palette: soft coral and powder blue washing across the page, with the logo's crystalline mark taking pride of place on the cover. It reads warm and approachable for an institution whose real work is investing in people and ideas.
For 2025, we went in a different direction entirely: a deep, confident blue, debossed typography, and a die-cut window that reveals a glimpse of red beneath the cover. It was important for us to bring some variety to the design, whle still staying true to the SNCI's brand and character.
That's really the heart of how we approach annual reports at 101. We produce quite a few each year for clients across very different sectors, and we treat each ne as its own little project. Every report is a chance to rethink structure, materials, typography and tone from scratch, shaped by what that client achieved, what they want to communicate, and who they're speaking to. For SNCI, a public institution with a clear and serious mandate, that has meant finding ways to make figures and policy feel tangible and well-crafted.
Working with SNCI year after year lets us build on what we've learned while still pushing the design somewhere new.
