The Ville de Dudelange faced a challenge many public institutions face: an important policy, the Pacte Logement 2.0, that needed to reach every resident, not just the ones already fluent in urban planning vocabulary. Housing strategy is dense by nature, full of zoning categories, development horizons, and technical acronyms, and the commune wanted a way to open that conversation up rather than close it off. That's where we came in.
We started from the ground up, building a visual identity strong enough to carry a civic topic with warmth and clarity. A custom set of illustrations became the backbone of the project, translating abstract concepts like land mobilisation, affordable housing quotas, and development timelines into friendly, human-scale visuals that anyone in Dudelange could recognise themselves in.
Our goal was for the branding to feel official without feeling cold, so we leaned into a palette and character style that speaks municipal trust while staying genuinely approachable and slightly playful.
From there, the identity extended across every touchpoint the commune needed. We designed and developed wunnenzudiddeleng.lu, a dedicated website that lays out the Pacte Logement's objectives, actors, policy instruments, and local measures in a structure that's easy to navigate, whether a visitor wants the full picture or just the answer to one FAQ.
Alongside the site, we produced a full suite of social media formats and communication materials, including a simplified-language brochure, so the message could travel wherever residents already were.
We thoroughly enjoyed the chance to make policy feel this human. We're proud to have helped Dudelange turn a legal framework into something residents can actually engage with.
